The 2009-2010 school year will be a year of many challenges for Arcola. We will face the challenges of having new personnel changes, maintaining and improving our “High C,” school grade, declining student enrollment, and achieving Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).
While the road ahead brings new opportunities as well as accomplishments, we stand ready and willing to achieve them. We will endeavor to continue doing our very best for students. I welcome you to join us in the “never-ending” quest for excellence throughout this school year.
This is our second year of academic reform under the Florida Department of Education’s state restructuring planning initiative. Therefore, we will receive support to achieve the academic goals that we have in place for student success. Realizing this has enabled us to reflect on teaching strategies and tools of instruction.
Our curriculum team has comprised an action plan with specific curriculum materials that will enable us to provide our students with the best possible education in all subject areas.
During this school year, we will continue to seek support of the parents by keeping families informed, and providing child(ren) with the best education possible. Please join our partnership.
We’re moving from good to GREAT!
