MIAMI
- Board Member Robert B. Ingram presented a School Board
Certificate of Appreciation to Miami Dade Schools' Police
Chief Pete Cuccaro, whose department was awarded a presidential
citation by the National Association of School Resource
Officers. The Association is the largest training organization
for school-based law enforcement officers and school administrators
in the nation. Dr. Ingram also recognized Capt. Arnie
Weathering and Lt. Gerald Kitchell, the police department's
first officers to graduate from the Southern Police Institute,
one of the country's leading law enforcement academies.
