Dr.
Robert B. lngram, Miami-Dade County School Board Member,
will be the presiding speaker at the Opening Plenary Session
of the 16th National Conference on Preventing Crime in
the Black Community on Thursday, May 31 at 8:30 a.m. at
the Tampa Convention Center.
The conference is being held to address
issues relating to the disproportionate number of African-Americans
who are under the supervision of the criminal justice
system. The agenda is designed to showcase successful
programs and promote a positive exchange of ideas on the
subject.
